Corporate websites
are not something that I usually have the opportunity to get my hands on. Design-wise, they are more of a portfolio website than a product website, and rely more on looks than content, which in turn allows for much more creative freedom. And for someone used to the requirements of user-centered design, having this sudden freedom can be a little overwhelming, due to the myriad possibilities.
For me, the main challenge in corporate website design turned out to be dealing with the “design by committee” syndrome. Everyone has an opinion and you need to find the middle ground. Regardless, it was a rewarding project to work on, and I even got to do a “studio” photoshoot of the team.
